Synapse demonstrates unparalleled Equipment Identity Register performance

Synapse Mobile Networks in cooperation with Intel and Sun Microsystems is showcasing a GSM/3GPP Equipment Identity Register (EIR) system performing at over 9000 TCAP requests per second. After a successful and minimal effort porting to servers powered by Intel ® Xeon® processors, the EIR from Synapse delivers outstanding system performance.  The requests served is approximately equal to the aggregated EIR traffic load generated by all mobile switches in a 50 million subscriber 3GSM network.

The EIR system demonstrates how applications based on Synapse common cluster environment, Unimind Release 4, running Sun Solaris 10 Operating Environment and Intel Xeon will deliver unparalleled application performance.
